S.M.I.T. (1)I learned the phrase “SMIT” from a focus group respondent last week. He was talking about setting his marketing goals: first he isolates the Single Most Important Thing he needs to accomplish, and then he decides which channels and strategies will get him there.

That makes a lot of sense in marketing, right? We talked about it a bit, then the conversation moved on.

But SMIT stayed on my mind. I just like how the phrase could apply for so many things in life. And so I ask:

What is the SMIT in your life?

Who in your life could guess your SMIT?

And what is the SMIT you want people to know about you?
